Sally Jaeger & Erika Jaeger
Celebrating 28 Years of Family Storytelling
Spring 2009 News: For under 3’s & over 3’s
Storytelling! Why?
Because it builds a love of listening and a love of language. It builds passive and active vocabulary. It allows us to use our imagination. It teaches us to predict what will come next. It creates a strong bond between teller and listener. It builds a sense of belonging and a sense of community. It builds self esteem. It teaches healthy touch. It helps in the development of the nervous system. It stimulates all of our senses. It builds empathy by letting us walk in someone else’s shoes. It lets us have experiences without consequences. It teaches history and culture. It makes us happy and sad. It makes us smart. And it’s fun!

If wishes were horses,
Beggars would ride.
If turnips were watches,
I would wear one by my side.

And killed the mice in his Father’s barn.
