Hello Everybody and how are you?

Lullabies & LapRhymes starts off the new fall season with fledgling storyteller, Laurie Flood, assisting Sally at Thursday morning classes.  Laurie, Manager at Baby on the Hip on Queen St. E., has been studying with Sally since March and is eager to begin in-class training!

We welcome Laurie as she brings her gentle humor and passion for early learning and bonding through songs and rhymes.

As a new grandmother, Laurie has experienced first hand the joys and power of using rhymes and songs to establish a connection with her brand new baby grandson.

Here is one of Laurie’s grandson’s favorites:

Jeremiah, blow the fire, puff puff puff.
First you blow it gently….pfew
Then you blow it rough …PUFF!

And Laurie’s new version of an old favorite:

From Gramma’s house to Max’s house is 15 miles.
From Max’s house to Gramma’s house is 15 miles.
From Gramma’s house to Max’s house.
From Max’s house to Gramma’s house,
From Gramma’s house to Max’s house is 15 miles!

We are looking forward to a lot of fun with Laurie and all of our new moms and babies!  Join us with your baby if you can or check out our cds and dvds from your local library!  Spread the word!
